Tulu Language added to Google translate

Mangaluru, June 28, 2024: Tulu language has been added to Google Translate, announced Tulu Sahitya Academy President, Taranath Gatti Kapikad, in a statement.

He stated that this is a global recognition for the Tulu language and a reason for Tulu speakers to celebrate. It is common for words to be incorrectly translated on Google Translate at times. In such instances, users can provide the correct word in the feedback column, and Google will make the necessary corrections. If Tulu speakers use this feature appropriately, it will benefit both Tulu speakers and non-Tulu speakers alike, Taranath Gatti Kapikad mentioned.
