Two Padayatris from DK die as truck rams into car while they were resting

Mangaluru, December 12, 2024: Two men who were part of a Padayatra from Mangaluru to Delhi demanding immediate punishment to rapists, died after a truck rammed into an Omni car in which they were resting at a place around 200 kms away from Surat in Gujarat. Three others were injured in the mishap.

Those who lost their lives are Moosa Sharief from Charmady and Lingegowda.

The Omni was badly mangled and the truck has escaped from the accident spot. Sharief was associated with KRS party and was also the leader of Karnataka Sarathigala Trade Union.

The team used to share videos on YouTube regarding the Padayatra and had posted its last video on Wednesday.
