Padubidri, Jun 2, 2013: Two bogies of a goods train on way to UPCL from NMPT derailed at Nandikur on June 1, Saturday.
The mishap took place when the train was returning to NMPT after supplying coal. The UPCL has laid a separate track for its goods trains. No injuries have been reported in the mishap the train belonged to the Konkan Railways.
According to Konkan Railway authorities, the loco pilot is to be blamed for the mishap. All trains on the route were delayed due to the mishap. The Accident Relief Train of the Southern Railways was pressed into service.
