Mangaluru, April 9, 2025: Two persons died and one was injured after they fell off the motorcycle that hit a median near SKS Junction, a few metres away from KPT Junction, on the Kochi-Panvel National Highway 66 in Mangaluru on Tuesday morning.
The Mangaluru traffic east police identified the deceased as Sankeerth and C. Dhanurved. Sibi Sam, who was injured in the incident, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
In the police complaint, Rohan Jobi stated that he left his house in Lohit Nagar, along with his four friends, around 3 a.m., to drink tea at Pumpwell Junction.
Mr. Sankeerth went ahead on his motorcycle with Mr. Dhanurved and Mr. Sam as pillion. Mr. Rohan Jobi followed them on his motorcycle with his friend Mr. Meghanath as a pillion.
Mr. Sankeerth lost control of the motorcycle and hit the median. The trio was injured. However, Mr. Sankeerth and Mr. Dhanurved succumbed to the injuries at the hospital, the police sources said.
