Bengaluru, February 03, 2025: “The Constitution is the lifeblood of our nation and stands above all caste and religious texts. It is the fundamental duty of every citizen to uphold it,” said U.T. Khader, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. He was speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the Preamble of the Constitution and a portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, installed at the office of Ivan D’Souza, a member of the Legislative Council, in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) office.
Respecting the Constitution and understanding its significance is the most important duty of every citizen. It is also our responsibility to pass on this knowledge to future generations, he emphasized on this occasion.
The event was presided over by Ivan D’Souza, a member of the Legislative Council.
