UAE Exchange President Sudheer Kumar Shetty chosen for Pingara Rajyotsava Award

Mangaluru, Oct 23, 2017: The Pingara Rajyotsava Award will  be conferred  on UAE Exchange President  Sudheer Kumar Shetty Perla  at a function to be held  on November 7 at Town Hall.

 

Informing this to reporters here on October 23, Monday, Raymond D’Cunha, Editor of Pingara Weekly  said  the Award presentation ceremony will be graced by  Mangaluru Bishop Rev Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, MLA of Mangaluru South J R Lobo,   MLC Ivan D’Souza, former president of Konkani Sahitya Academy Roy Castelino, former Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Harikrishna Punaroor and Information Officer Khader Shah among others.

A total of 23  applications were received this year and  the name  of Sudheer Kumar Shetty  was finalised by an eminent jury team comprising Dr B G Suvarna, Sadananda Perla, Jagannath Shetty Bala, C J Pinto, Fr William Menezes, Harikrishna Punaroor and Roy Castelino.

Sudheer Kumar Shetty who has been nominated for the prestigious award hails from Perla and is an alumnus of St Aloysius College. He has been serving UAE Exchange since 25 years.
