Uchila beach resort tragedy: Owner, manager arrested

Mangaluru, November 18, 2024: Ullal Police have arrested the owner and manager of the Wazco Beach Resort of Uchila in connection with the death of three young women by drowning in the swimming pool of the resort.

Those arrested are the owner of the resort Manohar Putran and Manager Bharath. Both of them have been accused of negligence leading to the tragic event. Both will be produced before the court today.

The families of the deceased young women Keerthana, Nishita and Parvathi arrived from Mysuru late night on Sunday and the bodies were handed over to the family members who later left for their hometown.

The tragic incident took place on Saturday after the three young women of Mysuru women stayed at the resort and stepped into the water at the swimming pool.
