Udupi: Accused absconding since 15 years, arrested in Shivamogga

Udupi, January 17, 2025: A man wanted in a theft case and was absconding since the past 15 years without appearing before the court, was arrested by the police in Shivamogga.

The arrested man is Ramesh of Shikaripura. He had theft cases against him in Padubidri police station limits in 2010. He was arrested and then released on bail. However he did not appear before court following which warrants were issued.

Police have managed to trace him in Shivamogga district. He was brought to Udupi and produced before the court.
