Udupi: Bee attack injures over 40 students of Olakadu school

Udupi, January 29, 2025: Over 40 students of a school at Olakadu here sustained injuries when a swarm of bees attacked them on Tuesday afternoon. All the injured students were treated at the Udupi Government Hospital. Three of them were later admitted as in-patients at the Udupi Mother and Child Hospital.

It is learnt, the bees attacked the students, after one of the boys who was playing on the school ground, hurled a stone towards the bee hive.

Soon there were loud screams as bees stung the students. Teachers and parents rushed to the spot and shifted the students to the hospital. Most of them were discharged after being provided treatment as outpatients.
