Udupi Bishop appointed chairman of CCBI Pastoral Plan Facilitation Committee

Udupi, Sep 16, 2024: Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo of the Diocese of Udupi has been appointed as the chairman of the CCBI Pastoral Plan Facilitation Committee. The appointment was made during the CCBI Executive Committee Meeting on September 11, led by Philip Neri Cardinal Ferrao, the president of the CCBI.

As chairman, Bishop Lobo will oversee the committee in ensuring the effective dissemination and implementation of the CCBI’s Pastoral Plan, titled "Journeying towards a Synodal Church: Mission 2033." The committee’s responsibilities include monitoring, reviewing, and assisting the secretaries of commissions, department directors, and coordinators of Apostolates at national, regional, and diocesan levels.

Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves, the vicar general of the Diocese of Udupi, along with the clergy and lay faithful, extended their congratulations, prayers, and best wishes to Bishop Lobo on his new role.
