Udupi: Car falls into huge pit excavated for overpass works at Ambalpady

Udupi, December 27, 2024: An overspeeding car went out of control of the driver and landed inside a large trench dug up for the overpass works on the National Highway 66 at Ambalpady Junction on Thursday night. Four people in the car suffered minor injuries in the mishap.

The huge trenches were dug up for the overpass pillar works and barricades have been put up restricting vehicular traffic. The car bearing Kerala registration was heading towards Udupi from Mangaluru when the mishap took place.

Udupi Traffic Police visited the spot.
