Udupi: Chain snatcher arrested

Udupi, April 4, 2025: Police have arrested a man wanted in a chain snatching case and have recovered a gold mangalasutra valued at Rs 3.5 lakhs from him. The arrested person is Santosh (29) of Saralebettu.

The accused had snatched the chain of a woman who worked in KMC Hospital, while she was returning home on the evening of March 29 after following her.

Following a complaint, police immediately swung into action and managed to apprehend the accused. He has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
