Udupi: Coconut transporting lorry catches fire

Udupi, December 17, 2024: A lorry transporting coconuts caught fire at Hoode on Monday night. A short circuit after the lorry came into contact with an electric wire is said to be the cause of the fire.

Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire.  The lorry suffered much damage in the fire. The fire occurred close by residential areas and a hotel creating some panic among the locals. Luckily no one was injured.
