Udupi: Goods Lorry Overturns Near Santhekatte, Injures Six

Udupi, Mar 23, 2025: Six people, including a lorry driver and a two-wheeler rider, sustained injuries after a goods lorry overturned near Ashirvad, Santhekatte, on Sunday, March 23.

The accident occurred when a two-wheeler rider abruptly entered the national highway from a service road. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the lorry driver applied sudden brakes, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn.

The impact left the driver, four workers onboard the lorry, and the bike rider injured. The two-wheeler was crushed under the lorry.

Social worker Vishu Shetty Ambalpady arrived promptly at the scene and ensured the injured were rushed to a private hospital in Udupi for treatment.
