Udupi: Heavy rains bring reprieve from scorching heat

Udupi, March 26, 2025: Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds, thunder and lightning on Tuesday evening across Udupi district, has provided the much needed reprieve from the scorching summer heat.

The strong winds uprooted trees at several places affecting free movement of vehicles. In Karkala there were reports of roofing damage at some places.

 

The Weather Department has warned of rains accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts during the next two days.
