Udupi: Mall staff assault 2 students

Udupi, February 28, 2025: Two students were injured after they were assaulted by the staff of the City Centre Mall at Udupi over a trivial issue.

The injured students Nihal (17) and Faizal (18) have been hospitalized. The two had visited the mall after their classes. As they noticed that the lift was out of order, they decided to use the automatic elevator from the third floor. But they were questioned by some staff and this resulted in a fracas after which the mall staff reportedly assaulted the two.

Public intervened and rescued the two students. While Nihal has suffered injuries on his lips, Faizal was hit on his stomach and back.

A case has been registered in Udupi town police station.
