Udupi: Man slits friend’s throat over trivial issue

Udupi, October 22, 2024: A man murdered his very own friend by slitting his throat over a trivial reason in the city. The incident that took place in a room on the ground floor of the Krishna Kripa building near the old KSRTC bus stand in the city came to light on October 22, Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Prashanth Shetty (32) of Korangrapady. The accused has been identified as Eranna alias Dinesh of Hoovinahadagali in Vijayanagara district.

It has been gathered that the two who were under the influence of alcohol quarreled with each other over a trivial issue. This quarrel culminated in the murder. The accused himself informed the police about his crime and he was taken into custody.
