Udupi: Man surprises his mother by turning customer at fish market, watch

Udupi, Sep 22, 2023: People often migrate across the world for higher education or better opportunity or work. Sometimes, it takes them years to return due to work commitments. They also know the feeling of homesickness very well. There are moments when they wish they were with their family and friends. A heart-warming video of a man surprising his mother is making rounds on social media. A youth named Rohit returned to India after three years of working in Dubai and gave a surprise to his mother, who sells fish in Gangolli Market in Kandapura Taluk, Udupi.

 

Rohit did not inform his family and friends that he was returning home to witness their happy faces. In the video, he can be seen approaching his mother who was selling fish in the market while covering his entire face with a handkerchief, glasses and hair so she can’t recognise him immediately at the market. He then started asking the rates of the fish in the basket and even started packing the fish for him.

After a while, she recognised his voice and immediately hugged him. After a long hug, she turned her teary eyes with happiness. The mother’s reaction to seeing her son is now winning hearts on social media.

A similar video went viral last year of a boy surprising his father on his birthday by coming back from Canada. In the video, the man was celebrating his birthday with his family and family at a restaurant when his son walked in with a birthday cake while his cousin covered his father’s eye. The man looking at him broke down into tears and hugged him for a long time, while the entire family surrounding them was overjoyed and overwhelmed at the same time.
