Udupi: Scooter catches fire near petrol bunk at Chitpady

Udupi, October 19, 2024: A scooter caught fire after a leakage in a bottle of petrol that was kept under the seat of the vehicle at Chitpady in Udupi late night on Friday. The incident resulted in anxious moments for some time as the mishap took place near a petrol bunk.

The rider had just purchased the petrol which he stored in a bottle and kept beneath the seat. However as he started the vehicle, there was a leakage and a spark ignited the fire and the scooter was completely gutted.

The petrol bunk staff and locals immediately helped in extinguishing the fire.
