Udupi: Thousands take part in Choornotsava at Udupi Krishna Mutt

Udupi, Jan 16, 2023: The annual Saptotsava at the Sri Krishna Mutt at Udupi concluded with the Choornotsava on January 15, Sunday. The rituals were held under the guidance of Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Krishnapura Mutt.

 

A Mahapooja was offered to Lord Krishna on the occasion of Choornotsava in the presence of the Ashta Mutt seers.

The Utsav idols of Lord Krishna and Lord Mukhyaprana were placed in the Brahmaratha. Later Pallapooja, Ashtavadhana and Olagamantapa Pooja were performed.

The seers had an Avabhritha Snana in the Madhwa Sarovar along with the utsav idols. Thousands of devotees took part in the celebrations.
