Udupi: Two lecturers from Nitte drown in Tunga River in Tirthahalli

Udupi, June 18, 2023: Two lecturers of a private college at Nitte in Karkala taluk drowned in Tunga River at Thirthamattur in Tirthahalli taluk of Shimoga district on Sunday, June 18.

The deceased have been identified as Punith, 38, and Balaji, 36. The two who had come on a trip on Saturday were staying at a home stay. They drowned while going swimming in Tunga river.

Shivamogga SP G.K. Mithun Kumar informed the media that one body had been retrieved from water. Further probe is on.
