Ullal: Cops serve notice to youth who climbed Abbakka statue and waved green flags

Mangaluru, Oct 03, 2023: Ullal Police who have taken serious cognizance of a viral video showing a group of youth waving green flags after climbing onto the statue of Veer Rani Abbakka  at the Abbakka Circle in Ullal, have served notices to the accused. It is learnt the incident occurred during the Eid Milad procession on September 26.

 

Following outrage over the incident, the Ullal police have collected the video footage and have identified the youth involved in the act and served notices to them.

It is alleged that the youth had even honked continuously and created public nuisance. It is learnt, the accused youth are from Ullal, Konaje, Derlakatte, Belthangady, Bantwal, Madaka and Manjanady areas.
