Under trial from Kasargod gives cops a slip in Sullia

Sullia, Sep 15, 2018: An under trial who was lodged in the  Hosadurga prison in Kanhangad and was being brought to a Sullia court for hearing of a case has given the Kerala cops a slip near the Sullia bus stand on Friday.

 

 The absconding  accused  Abdul Azeez of Ajjavara was wanted in several cases including a murder case. It is said on the pretext of going to toilet, he pushed the police men escorting him and  escaped after jumping a compound wall  when he was let free to go to toilet.

Sullia and Kerala police have launched a joint search operation.

It is said he was an accused in the case of murder of a woman at Uppinangady, an old woman from Chembarika among other cases including theft in Sullia BSNL office. He was brought to Sullia by a government bus by two cops.
