Uppinangady: Timber mill gutted in accidental fire

Uppinangady, February 4, 2025: A timber mill at Ilanthila was gutted in a fire mishap on Tuesday morning. The mill is owned by Fayaz Ahmed.

It is learnt, the fire broke out near the electricity meter of the mill and soon engulfed the timber and other wooden materials inside the mill.

Locals on noticing smoke from inside the mill immediately alerted the owner who rushed to the spot.

The loss has been estimated at Rs 6 lakhs.
