Uppoor: Theft at Temple

Brahmavar, August 3, 2024: In the Shri Durga Parameshwari Temple at Uppoor village of Brahmavar taluk, two thieves broke the lock of the front door in the early hours today and entered inside. They then broke the lock of the sanctum sanctorum and stole gold and silver items worth ₹80,000, including the deity’s golden eyes, golden nose ring, and silver pot.

A case has been registered at the Brahmavar Police Station regarding this incident.
