VHP calls for CBI probe into Tirupathi Laddu Controversy, plans Mangaluru meeting

Mangaluru, September 26, 2024: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced a "Dharmagraha Sabhe" at Dongarakery Venkatramana Temple in Mangaluru on September 30, urging a CBI investigation into the alleged use of animal fat in Tirupathi laddus.

Shivananda Mendon, VHP Mangaluru Divisional Joint Secretary, said the meeting, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will feature participation from Hindu leaders, community representatives, and saints.

The VHP also urged Hindus to write to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, demanding a probe and strict punishment for those responsible. A resolution will be passed to remove temples from government control.

H.K. Purushottam, Dakshina Kannada VHP president, was also present at the press meet.
