Value oriented education-need of the hour : Capt. Ganesh Karnik

Karkala, Jan8,2013: The need of the hour is value oriented education which can make our children responsible citizens of the nation,  said Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC.

Speaking as a chief guest  at ‘Prakruti Sambhrama” organised as part of the first anniversary of Prakruti Group of Institutions at Sanoor here on January 7, Monday, he lauded the efforts made by the Prakruti  institutions in the above direction.

Karkala MLA Gopal Bhandari who also spoke as a chief guest  congratulated Gerald Crasta, Prakruti Group Chairman  for creating an educational revolution in a rural area like Sanoor.

 

Moodbidri Legislator Abhayachandra Jain emphasized the need to sensitize students on the evils of corruption  and added such a step would go a long way in weeding out corruption from the society.

Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation and  Prof. Balakrishna Shetty, Principal of SDPT College, Kateel, also spoke on the occasion.

Ratnaker Hegde, Chief of Ashrith Trust, Kota, Lancelot Pinto, Fr Tony D’Souza, Ashok, Administrative Officer of Prakruti institutions and others were present.
