Veteran CPI leader B K Krishnappa no more

Mangaluru, September 18, 2024: Veteran CPI leader B K Krishnappa passed away on September 17, Tuesday. He was 91 and is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.

Krishnappa was a state Committee Member of the CPI and had served as the Secretary of the DK and Udupi district Committee of the party. He had also served the party as its National Council Member and as District Secretary of AITUC.

Krishnappa who worked in a tile factory in his younger days had played a significant role in striving for the cause of the working class.
