Veteran scholar Prof. Kodi Kushalappa Gowda passes away

Sullia, Sep 03, 2022: Veteran scholar, linguist and writer Prof. Kodi Kushalappa Gowda passed away at a hospital in Puttur at the age of 91.

He had served as Assistant Professor in Kannada in Presidency College, Chennai, Lecturer in Theosophical College, Madanapalli, Kannada Lecturer at Annamalai University and  Head of the Department of Kannada of Madras University. Prof. Gowda had authored around 17 works. Four of his works are in English and he had over 70 research articles in both Kannada and English to his credit.

He was the recipient of Soviet Land Gold Medal, Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award and Karnataka Rajyotsava Award.
