Vinay Kumar Sorake lashes out against Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje

Udupi, Dec 02, 2023: Senior Congress leader and former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake has lashed out at Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP and Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje over the issue of non-sanction of Central grants despite a report submitted to the government on the drought situation as well as crop loss.

 

The Karnataka Government is collecting Rs 4.50 lakh crore as taxes and giving it to the Central Government. Let Shobha inform the people about the grants provided by the Centre to the state, he demanded.

“It seems she thinks coming to the constituency on the pretext of Vikasit Bharath Sankalpa Yatra and then resorting to campaigning and criticizing the Congress was the only duty of an MP,” said Sorake.

On the recent murder of a woman and her three children at Nejaru that shocked the district, Sorake said the MP has not shown the courtesy of meeting the bereaved family.
