Viral video has no links with recent blast, clarifies Police Commissioner

Mangaluru, Nov 22, 2022: City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has clarified that a viral video that is circulating online showing two men moving around with a bag in hand, has got nothing to do with the recent blast case in an autorickshaw at Nagori.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the video that is being circulated online has projected one person as the accused and another as his accomplice. But this has no connection with the blast. As the area was close by the railway station, movement of some members of the public is being linked to the incident, the Commissioner said and urged the public not to believe such videos.

The Commissioner said security has been stepped up in the city particularly in crowded places, religious places and malls. Canine squad too will be pressed into service, he added.
