Vishala Ganiga murder case : Husband arrested; remanded to police custody

Brahmavar, Jul 21, 2021: Police who are investigating the murder of Vishala Ganiga at the Milana Residency Apartment near Uppinakote in Brahmavar Taluk have arrested her husband Ramakrishna Ganiga. Sources said a supari killer has also been arrested.

 

Ganiga was produced before the  Udupi Court on Tuesday by the investigation officer of the case, Brahmavar Circle Inspector Ananthapadmanabha.  The court has  handed over the accused to four days of police custody for further interrogation.

Vishala  was found murdered at the apartment on July 12. Police had formed six  teams to investigate the case  and subsequently zeroed in on her husband who had come from abroad for the last rites of his wife. It has been gathered that Ramakrishna had hatched a plot to kill his wife while being abroad.
