Vittal: Lightning strike on house causes extensive damage

Vittal, July 19, 2024: A house at Chelladka in Kepu village near Vittal suffered damage due to lightning strike on July 18, Thursday night.

The house belonged to Shashishekhar Bhandari. The electronic appliances and many other goods were burnt due to the lightning strike.

The lightning also ignited fire in a part of the house and local youth who rushed to the spot helped to put out the fire. The fire tender vehicles later rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

No one in the house suffered any injury in the incident.
