Vittal explosion case: Bomb defusal squad visits village

Vittal, March 6, 2025: Following the registration of a police complaint at Vittal station regarding the recent explosion at Madathadka in Vittlamudnur village that damaged many houses, the Bomb Defusal Squad visited the village on Wednesday as part of the investigation.

It has been learnt that a box of detonators and 200 gelatin sticks were placed at one place amid the heaps of stones close by the quarry in the village.  They exploded all of a sudden two days ago resulting in a huge explosion and causing damage to many houses.  It is said over 15 houses in a radius of one km have suffered damage.

A complaint was subsequently filed against Sri Rama Constructions of Kavalapadur.
