Walk to Mecca : Shihab gets grand welcome in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, June 10, 2022: Shihab Chottur who  has embarked on a walk to the holy city of Mecca from Malappuram in Kerala, received a grand welcome on his entry to Dakshina Kannada district on June 9, Thursday evening through the Talapady border.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shihab plans to reach Mecca by covering a distance of 8600 kms over a period of nine months.

On Thursday afternoon he embarked on his journey after a health checkup at Hosangady. Upon arrival  in Dakshina Kannada he offered Magrib Namaz at the Kotekar Beeri Mosque. People who were present in large numbers wished him success.

 He was welcomed by DK Muslim Okkoota President K Ashraf,  former Member of State Haj Committee KM Aboobakker Siddique and others. He rested at the Taqva Mosque at Pumpwell on Thursday night.
