Water level rises in Thumbay vented dam; all gates opened

Mangaluru, July 18, 2024: Continuous rainfall in the district has left Netravathi river in spate and the water level in Thumbay vented dam has reached six meters. Following this all 30 gates of the dam have been opened.

Rising water levels has endangered many houses and fields in the areas close to the river bank.
