Woman found dead in house near Harekala

Mangaluru, Feb 21, 2023: The decomposed body of a 62 year old woman was found in the kitchen of her house at Deradka near Harekala on February 20, Monday.

 

The deceased is Maggi Monteiro. She was living all alone. It is learnt Maggi’s daughter had visited her on February 16.  Later for three days when Maggi did not receive the phone calls, the daughter visited her mother’s house and found her dead in the kitchen.

 It is suspected that she might have suffered head injuries after falling down in the kitchen. It is learnt Maggi’s son was living away from her and she had three acres land and a house where she lived alone. Locals also said she rarely spoke to neighbours.

Konaje Police have registered a case.
