Woman killed, husband critical as tempo hits bike at Padil

Mangalore, July 17, 2013 : A woman lost her life while her husband was critically injured when their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding tempo at Padil Junction on July 16, Tuesday night.

The accident occurred at around 10 pm. The deceased is identified as Savithri (40) of Kodakkal who was  a florist  at Kankanady. Her husband  Javaregowda was critically injured and has been admitted to a private hospital.

 The mishap took place when the couple were returning home after closing their shop ‘Shree Durga’ at Kankanady. The couple have two daughters and a son.

Kankanady rural police have registered a case.
