Women posing as customers steal jewels

Mangaluru, July 20, 2018: A jewellery store at Bhavanthi Street in Mangaluru lost  jewels worth nearly Rs 5.71 lakh after four women who came in the guise of customers escaped with the jewels on July 19, Thursday.

The incident took place at around 11.30 am. The women who arrived at the shop,  enquired the prices of a few ornaments before leaving the shop.

Later when one of the staffers left for tea, the women arrived again and this time one of them had managed to steal six gold bangles worth Rs 5,71,300.

The  owner came to know about the robbery in the evening when he checked the CCTV footage.

Bunder Police are investigating the case.
