Young man dies in tragic road accident at Mukka junction on NH 66

Surathkal, September 5, 2024: A young man tragically lost his life in a road accident at the Mukka Junction on National Highway 66, Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Devadiga (27), a resident of Indiranagar, Haleyangadi.

Ganesh, who worked at Panambur Port, was on his way to work on his two-wheeler around 7 a.m. when the accident occurred. As he slowed down near a barricade at Mukka Junction, a vehicle from behind collided with his scooter, causing severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

Mangalore North Traffic Police visited the scene, conducted an inspection, and registered a case in connection with the incident.
