Youth attempts suicide after video of friends stitching his scratch jeans goes viral

Belthangady, November 22, 2024: A youth is battling for life at the hospital after he attempted suicide feeling humiliated over a video featuring his scratch jeans being stitched by friends, going viral.

The youth Shahil (21) of Panakaje in Belthangady taluk had come to the market at Belthangady on Thursday afternoon wearing a scratch jeans. However a group of youth who surrounded him  sewed the ripped jeans using a needle for stitching gunny bags and made the video viral resulting in trolling.

Shahil who felt deeply humiliated  consumed some poisonous substance following which his family rushed him to hospital. Presently, his condition is said to be critical.

The accused have been identified as Shabeer, Aneesh and Saleem.
