Youth drowns in sea; 2 other friends rescued

Mangaluru, Sept 18, 2023: A youth from Bagalkote drowned while two of his friends who too were washed away by the giant tidal waves, were rescued at Mallamar beach on September 17, Sunday.

The deceased is Manthesh (29). It is learnt Manthesh and two others were washed away initially. However, Manthesh who managed to rescue one of his friends, later drowned. It is learnt, he had told his sister that he was going to work, but instead came to the beach.

Suratkal police have registered a case.
