Youth killed as granite slabs fall on him

Mangaluru, Nov 14, 2021: Employee of a construction company died after being crushed by slabs of granite at an under-construction building in Attavar on Saturday night.

The victim is identified as Abdulrahman Rilwan (30), son of Hameed, a resident of Jeppu in the city.

The incident took place when a lorry loaded with granite slabs from Rajasthan had arrived and Rilwan went to photograph the granite loaded lorry. At the time, the granite placed in the lorry came crashing down on Rilwan who suffered grievous injuries.

He was rushed to a hospital immediately but he succumbed to the injuries. A case relating to the incident has been registered in Pandeshwar police station.
