Kasargod, July 27, 2018: Indian Union Muslim League leader and former minister from Kerala, Cherkala Abdulla breathed his last at his residence here on July 27, Friday.
He was 86 years of age and is survived by his wife and a daughter.
Cherkala Abdulla who was suffering from a heart ailment was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru and was discharged just on Thursday night.
He was a four time MLA from Manjeshwar and had served as cabinet minister from 2001-2004 during the chief ministership of AK Antony.
He has also been the District President of Muslim League.
