Kundapur, Aug 28, 2018: Thieves have targeted two temples in Kundapur taluk and have decamped with valuables and cash from donation boxes.
The Kerekatte Virupaksha Temple and Shree Shantheshwara Temple in Hosangady village were burgled on Sunday night. Both the thefts are suspected to be the handiwork of the same gang of thieves.
The donation box of the Virupaksha Temple which was stolen, has been found abandoned on roadside.
It is learnt several silver articles have been stolen from the two temples which were holding special rituals on account of the month of Shravana.
Canine squad and finger print experts have been pressed into service.
