Mangaluru, Aug 28 2018: There was a protest at Mangalore City Corporation conducted by the BJP SC Morcha on August 28th. The protest was regarding renaming the Town Hall after Kudmul Ranga Rao and to withdraw the transfer of revenue officer Praveen Karkera.
“Former MLA J R Lobo’s involvement behind Praveen Karkera’s transfer has proved that the Congress party never supported the Dalits. If the transfer of Praveen will not be withdrawn we will intensify our protest.” - said member of SC Morcha, Umesh Kotian.
Other members such as General Secretary of BJP SC Morcha Vinaynethra Daddalkadu, B S Vasanth Kumar, Umanath Amin Nanthur, Vittal Salian, Anand Pangal, Vanitha Somanath and others were also present at the protest.
