Mangaluru ; The Ayush Foundation called upon practitioners of Ayurveda and other Indian systems of medicines to take active part in the two-day Ayush Habba to be held at the Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama December 19 & 20..
Addressing a meeting of AYUSH practitioners, federation chairperson Asha Jyothi Rai said the festival would provide an opportunity to showcase the richness of Ayurveda, Unani, homeopathy and Siddha systems of medicine.
Chairperson Asha Jyothi Rai, said hospitals and other practitioners would set up stalls showcasing panchakarma and other Ayurveda treatments. Health cards would be provided to those getting services during the event, using which the patients could get further treatment at concessional rates. There would be stalls selling Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicines. An exhibition of medicinal plants that could be grown on agricultural fields too had been organised.
Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation Mohan Alva said it was the responsibility of practitioners Indian systems of medicines to make their treatment techniques responsive to people’s needs. He said Ayurvedic, homeopathy and naturopathy colleges would participate in the event.
