"Khadya Sangam" - an event and food fest at St.Aloysius on March 4, Friday

Mangaluru, March 3,2016:  The Department of Food Science and Technology of St. Aloysius College, in a media release today announces it is organizing an Inter-Collegiate events and food fest, “Khadya Sangam” on Friday, March 4. The registration begins sharp at 8.30 AM, followed by inauguration at 9 AM.

The chief guest of the day will be Mr. Annappa Pai, Managing Director Ace Foods Pvt Ltd. Valedictory function will be at 4.30 PM and the guest of honor for the function will be Dr. Shama Sundar, Rtd. Prof. Department of Fish Processing Technology, and College of Fisheries Managaluru.

The fest will feature various competitions such as cake designing, fruit and  vegetable carving, costume designing, product designing, treasure hunt, poster making, food  quiz, variety based on the theme: Food safety and security. Various food industries would be   putting up their stalls. The fest promotes Food Science & Technology among the under graduate   and post graduate students to create interest among the students to take up Food Science &  Technology for higher studies.
