‘Make in India’ is it a plot to rob India?

Mangaluru, July 15, 2015 : Speaking after releasing ‘Make in India: Ondu Vimarshe’, at a function organised by the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district units of the Communist Party of India.  Educationist and thinker C.H. Krishna Shastri Balila  said the ‘Make in India’ campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is nothing but an international conspiracy to loot the rich natural resources of the country.

 Shastri said while the erstwhile National Democratic Alliance government headed by A.B. Vajpayee had established a separate Ministry for disinvesting public sector undertakings, the Modi government had gone a step ahead to surrender all the natural resources to foreign entities.  There was a marked difference between ‘Make in India’ and ‘Made in India’ with the latter also comprising domestic technologies and innovations.

In his talk Shastri said  ‘Made in India’ products were mainly meant for domestic consumption, ‘Make in India’ products were entirely meant for export. With the ‘Make in India’ campaign, PM Modi was set to surrender valuable land and other resources to foreigners thereby compromising our sovereignty.  CPI district Secretary V. Kukyan, State secretary P.V. Lokesh and labour leader H.V. Rao were present.
