Mangaluru, Sep 21, 2019: People’s Association for Geriatric Empowerment (PAGE) vice president Dr Prabha Adhikari told media that good people participation is expected to take part in a programme organised to mark World Alzheimer’s Day fore noon at Town Hall, today September 21, Saturday.
The programme includes free memory testing, brain stimulation exercise, interaction with the caregivers, cultural programme by students and senior citizens. “The cause of this occasion is to educate people and support people with dementia,” Dr Prabha Adhikari stated.
PAGE president Dr Olinda Pereira said, “The coming together of so many organisations to serve our elders’ cause is in itself a great victory and we shall use this positive energy to make a difference to the quality of life of our elders.”
Mangalore Alzheimer’s Association (MAA) president Jerardin D’Souza said they have organised many programmes and discussions on Alzheimer`s disease.
